2nd night in Shanghai

Disclaimer: I have discovered to my dismay and dissatisfaction, that the internet connection here in Soochow university literally crawls at a snail's pace. As such, my blog entries would not have photos in them. Or until the bandwidth improves at least.

Treated today as a holiday to myself! Woke up late with no agenda in mind and i simply did what i felt like doing =)

First up was a trip to the other side of the Bund, which was home to the Oriental Pearl Tower. Upon reaching the place, my stomach was starting to growl, so off it was in search of food! And i didn't have to look very far either, for less than 30 metres from the Oriental Pearl Tower was this quaint little restaurant called High Time, sitting alongside a row of other restaurants, serving a variety of fair.

At this point, as i recall, i really don't remember what it was that drew me to this restaurant. The layout and decor perhaps? Or was it my sudden craving for western food? No idea. At the end of it however, boy was i satisfied!

A bowl of russian borsch soup coupled with butter rolls, followed by a generous serving of tuna salad, leading to black pepper ribeye prime steak and fruits with ice cream for dessert. Wash it all down with a cup of aromatic black coffee and there you have it; a very satisfied me, feeling very full indeed!

And if you thought that was good, dinner was even better! Japanese Sukiyaki! In a nice quiet restaurant right along the Bund =) Wish i could it to all of you in pictures, for these words do them no justice.

In short, i had a fantastic time. Time to relax and unwind; time to think about His grace and time to admore His works. Really hope i get to do it again!
