wanted to upload some pictures but hmmm Blogger doesn't seem to wanna co-operate with me, so i'll just have to make do with words for now.
mentioned the MagLev in my previous post and this train seriously deserves a second mention. at an operational speed of 301km/h, it is definitely fast with a capital f! the rate at which it devours the track and tarmac is simply unbelieveable. as to how it works, the name simply sums it all up: Magnetic Levitation. looking forward to having a second go at it =)
the rest of the day after checking into the hotel was spent walking around the central area of Shanghai. was walking around and to my surprise i saw a familiar sign at a distance away, hidden behind buildings: Capitaland.
that however, wasn't as big a surprise as what appear before my eyes when i walked to the entrance of the building.
Raffles City! Right smack in the middle of shanghai, styled in a manner similar to Singapore's and it comes complete with a food court that sells food akin to what we have in our own! It was a pleasant surprise i must say =)
anyway, the weather here is really cold and it doesn't help that the wind is blowing all the time! so yes, prayers are greatly appreciated. alright, feeling really tired now. off to bed i go!
