i'm lov'in it!

its the third day at work and i'm still feeling motivated! while some may go "duh. its only the third day!", i choose to look at it from another perspective. to measure my life day by day, trying to maximise each day as much as i can. it would be folly, however, to assume that because i measure out my life day by day, i don't have plans on a bigger scale. this i do, and not just by my own will =)

got down to doing some real work today, as compared to the past 2 days! started off doing cataloging of data before i was attached to the engineering departments to have a more detailed look into the inner workings of the company. lotsa stuff happened today and it was pretty exciting, but hmmm i don't think its wise to share them here and risk disclosing any possible company secrets!

at the end of the day, i find myself thinking and being amazed at how much China has grown within the last few years. i remember a time when i myself used to scoff at China made products and their lack of quality, and today i will readily take them back. while there still exist some areas where China made products are still not really up to par, the rest of its industries have already steadily improved and the standard of products produced are really excellent!

the best example would be the very place i work in. the commitment the company has in following established manufacturing standards really impressed me. the slightest flaw is frowned upon and they are constantly seeking to improve themselves! complacency seems nonexistant in their dictionary and they are always looking for new opportunities to implements new systems. all i can say is that i'm impressed.

nice things aside, i must say that i still haven't gotten used to the chilling weather. walking in the morning chill at 6am is really no joke! and to think that the weather is going to get even colder in Feb. yikes! i think i need thicker jackets!

so yes, here comes the prayer requests!
1. adapt to the cold climate faster
2. continue to maintain a positive outlook
3. continue to do my quiet time, and possibly spend more time on it
4. that i can continue to learn more things here.
5. be a good witness!
