wah for once, when i open up my ICQ, i don't see any church people online! can't really blame them since they're probably enjoying themselves thoroughly at lynette's place =) basically we went to her place for steamboat dinner and also for a time of interaction and enjoyment. a break from the fast paced, stressed up environment each of us go through everyday, every week.

caught a segment of the show "About Schimit" after dinner at lynette's place; thought a tad boring initially, the show seems to be tragically beautiful ... dun really know how to say it also. the dialogues of Schimit really sets me thinking as well ... about waking up one day, looking at your wife next to you and wondering just what in the world are you doing with her. its not so much about being unfaithful and infidelity ... but rather, it sets me thinking, just how many people around us marry for the sake of marriage? did they marry because they truly loved each other? or did they marry because everyone else seems to be doing that, it seemed like the right time, so they comfort themselves by saying "i'll learn to love him/her as time passes" and jump onto the bandwagon? its seem to pinpoint and portray the flaws in the value systems that western nations adopt ... like how the couple, Schimit and his wife, spend so much time and shower so much love on their daughter, only for her to get hitched and leave them to tend to themselves. so sad isn't it? hear from an anonymous source that nowadays, raising a child is like a wild card investment ... and most of the time, you don't profit from it. degeneration of moral values i guess ... wateva happen to good old filial piety? haha gone with the wind i suppose? either that or the previous generation somewhere and somehow forgot to instill it in the current one.

dunno why i always get so many farnie and crappy thoughts when i look at things ... seem to always identify the darker and sadder side of issues first .. not that i'm complaining thought .. kinda enjoy it leh =P
