gunning for gold

saw an article on On Shaw Ming winning Singapore's first ever gold medal. couldn't help but feel myself being drawn to the inset picture of him.

arm drawn with the gun pointing dead ahead. elbow locked to prevent unnecessary movements and shakes.

sure brings back fond memories. of a time where all i did was practice at the range all day long. load, aim, shoot. where patience was my best friend and together, we'd wait for the perfect moment to click the trigger. the exhilartion of my first ever trophy. the rush of competing in the inter-unit.

perhaps one day, when i have both the time and money. i'll fulfil my wish of owning a Steyr LG110 FT and resume my shooting hobby. might seem a little impossible as of now, but its a dream nonetheless. and sometimes, dreams are all we have to keep us going, when everything else seems so bleak.

if doing so is for the better good of everything and everyone else, so be it.
