the week is almost over once again and i must say that its been a pretty hectic one. had so many tests and assignments that its truly by His grace that i made it through~

Went to attend a dinner function at Traders' Hotel last night, hosted by the NTU School of Communications and Information(CSI). The function was raised to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Nanyang Chronicles and i was privildged enough to be part of it. The main reason why i was there was coz an article i wrote for the Chron was shortlisted for a journalism award; not bad for an amatuer eh~!

Went there and felt so out of place cause everywhere i turn and look, everyone was from CSI and knew each other. Oh and i must say that CSI has very interesting and lively teachers! Damn hip, cool and friendly as well man. If only we had lecturers like that in Engineering man. Well so there i was, listening to the prize presentation, without any expectations at all as i felt that i was a mediocre writer at best. Can you image my surprise when they announced my name for the Best Chinese Feature Story? i was like ... WOAH!!! haha. haven't felt this sense of jubilation and excitement in a long time already. And whats more, i received the award from non other than Lester!!! if it wasn't for him, i'd never have gotten to know about the Chron and non of this would have happened. Thanks alot dude =)

What a blessing its been. Gotta work harder, brush up on my mandarin and write better articles in future~!
