sometime, when we're in loads of problems or caught in situations, we tend to focus too much on them and fail to see Jesus standing in the midst of it all; that was exactly what happened to Peter in Matt 14:30, when Jesus called out to him to take a step of faith and walk to Him across the water. i myself am guilty of this too; more often than not. When the going gets bad, i only tend to see the negative side of things and let my sinful nature take control. laments, bitterness, even hatred? most of the time, awareness only dawns upon me after the incidents have happened or when the deeds have been done, and regrets are all that's left. Its time for a change ...
went Chinatown yesterday with some of the church people; haven't been there for quite sometime, every since the last new year i think. much has changed there, with the MRT station being the most notable. even though it was a weekday, the place was still mega packed with people doing pre New Year shopping. rebecca bought young coconuts for herself and me but mine had this leak in the husk and i think more than a third of the coconut water ended up dripping onto my hand and my forearm, leaving it sticky and uncomfortable. gross. ^^; met weijia and her friends there too, and silly sylvester was so quick to point out that one of her friends was quite pretty ... haha but most of weijia's friends were so tall ... just like weijia. anyway, i made my way home together with sylvester at 11+ and we had a good time crapping all the way on the bus ride, joking about how to be "auntie killers" and about sylvester's "gan mei mei" thingy. with most of the church people living near bukit timah/ clementi area, i'm super glad that at least i have sylvester to go home with after such outings =)
