just came back from the mission conference and i'm really glad that i went for it. i must say that Rev Dr Stuart Briscoe is a pretty good speaker ... some of the things he said relly make an impact and struck a chord within me .. will proceed to share certain thoughts that transpires through my head as well as things he said throughout the conference.

1.The heart has its reasons that even its not aware of, and Jesus is able to see these hidden dynamics that drive people to do what they do.

2.We are called to be Christians so that we can see the world throught Jesus's eyes. A calling is a way of relating to God; learning and following in His way.

3.Ordinary people are called to do His work ... ordinary people who respond to His calling and believe that His provision will make-up for their own shortfalls and inability.

4.Believe that God uses ORDINARY people like you and i. highly trained people are there so that they can minister to and equip others to fight the good fight, not so that they themselves can partake in the battle while the rest of us merely watch and cheer them on.

5.So get your butts off the pew and start thinking about serving Him!

6.The wonderful providence of God is displayed everytime during the preaching of a sermon, when the speaker, despite not knowing what are the exact needs of each and everyone of us, can satisfy us spiritually through the message he preaches; from the heaven'y father, through the speaker, to us.

7.Being a christian is not just about being saved. its also about serving Him ... its time we put ourselves down and respond to Him instead of complaining that we're inadequate. Stop saying "NO".

All the above are from my own words, according to my own understanding. somehow, the main reason why this appeals so much to me is perhaps cause i'm always procrastinating when it comes to service to God and i'm guilty as charged when it comes to saying "No" to Him just because we THINK and FEEL that we know whats the best for ourselves. One of the most interesting part of his message was the cited example of how stupid sheeps were and how similar we humans are to these sheeps. come to think of it, its really true .... sometimes, if we'd just listen to Him rather then act smart and force things our way, things would've turned out so much better.

today had been a really fruitful day for me i guess ... am i looking forward to tomorrow's message and how God will speak to me again ~ =)
